Permits mounting the Aimpoint Comp M series scopes directly to the receiver's integral rail with the red dot positioned above the front sight post. Incorporates a captivated thumbnut and spring activated sidebar which aides in installing the mount especially in low light conditions. Ring body has a built-in insulated spare battery compartment with a spare battery cap located on the side for easy access. Cantilever ring is manufactured from solid billet 6061 T6 aluminum and is Type III hard-coat anodized black to mil-spec.
